  The ancient rudraksha beads are now gaining importance in the present era as the healing properties of rudraksha are being identified and recommended by rudraksha therapists for various physical and mental problems. Rudraksha beads (botanical name: Eleao Carpus Granitrus) are the dried fruits of the rudraksha tree mainly found in Java and Sumatra, Assam, Himalayan region, Sikkim, Nepal and Bhutan.

Talking to this, Pune based Dr. Madhuri Mahadevan, a clairvoyant and a feng shui consultant who is also a rudraksha therapist says, “For thousands of years the merits and powers of the rudraksha beads have been documented and detailed in the holy puranas and Upanishads.”

According to Dr. Madhuri wearing the sacred rudraksha beads brings one to the alpha state of present moment living. “The ancient discipline of Rudraksha recommendation is as simple as it is complicated,” Dr. Madhuri points out. She further states today there are many rudraksha therapy facilities in India that recommend rudraksha beads by combining ancient Vedic Knowledge with modern scientific proof and confirmed experiences continually proving the effectiveness of wearing rudraksha beads.

Stressing on the scientific aspect of the Beads she firmly puts modern science has shown that the electromagnetic nature of rudraksha beads affect our neurophysiology in a specific manner that allows control of heart beat, blood pressure, stress levels, hypertension and at the same time relieves anxiety, depression and neurotic conditions.

Anti aging properties have also been discovered, based on the natural electromagnetism of rudraksha beads. She calls rudraksha as a natures gift to mankind and a panacea for all illnesses coming in the category of using herbs and plants for counteracting not only the evil effects of planets but all at clinical level for illnesses such as hypertension, cancer and AIDS amongst others.

As a rudraksha therapist and a clairvoyant Dr. Madhuri have also suggested the usage of rudraksha beads to her several clients suffering from cancer and AIDS. Says she, “I recommend the usage of rudraksha beads, externally by wearing it and internally by drinking milk of rudraksha beads boiled in it.” She adds these Beads tremendously help as a supportive therapy and nullifies all the side effects of the medication and speed up the effect of the medication. The wearing of Beads also gives strength to the patient to cope with the medication.

However, Dr. Madhuri stresses on the need of more scientific research and analysis to be carried out to understand its benefits in the field of health and medicine for the benefit of a mankind.
